Partial Operations Shifted to Madhavaram Terminus for South-bound Buses

The Transport Department has decided to run 160 south-bound buses from the Madhavaram bus terminus, responding to the demands of bus operators. Initially, the government had announced that all buses proceeding on GST Road would operate from Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus (KCBT) in Kilambakkam, starting Tuesday.

However, following a meeting with Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar, it was decided to split operations, with 710 buses running from KCBT and the remaining 160 from Madhavaram. This change impacts bus services previously operated from Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R. Bus Terminus in Koyambedu, marking a shift in the transport arrangement for central and south Tamil Nadu destinations.
