A ferry carrying more than 350 people sank in the southern Philippines, causing a major rescue operation. The ferry was travelling from Zamboanga City to Jolo Island in Sulu province when the accident happened.

There were 359 people on board, including 332 registered passengers and 27 crew members. Soon after the ferry sank, rescue teams rushed to the area to search for survivors.

Rescuers from the Philippine Coast Guard, the navy, and local fishing boats worked together to save people from the water. So far, at least 215 people have been rescued safely. Sadly, seven bodies have been recovered.

However, more than 100 people are still missing, and search operations are continuing. Authorities are trying their best to find the missing passengers and provide help to the survivors.
