New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the people of Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of the state’s Foundation Day today.
In a post on social media, the Prime Minister said that the people of Uttar Pradesh have made great contributions to India’s culture, history, and heritage. He praised the state for its important role in shaping the country’s identity.
PM Modi also said that the state has seen strong development in the last nine years. He added that due to the hard work of the people and the “double-engine government” — referring to both the state and central governments working together — Uttar Pradesh has moved from being called a BIMARU state (a term once used for underdeveloped states) to becoming a model state.
He expressed confidence that Uttar Pradesh has huge potential and will continue to play a key role in the nation’s growth and progress in the future.
