Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat on October 30 for a two-day official tour. During his visit, he is expected to inaugurate and launch several development projects worth around ₹14,000 crore. He will also release approximately ₹19,000 crore in financial assistance to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme and flag off two new train services.
The visit will focus on improving infrastructure, supporting farmers, strengthening transportation facilities and promoting tourism. Several important programmes and development activities have been planned across different parts of the state.
On the first day, October 30, Modi will travel to Banaskantha district to inaugurate a major bovine breeding centre spread across 127 acres. The centre is expected to support livestock development and help improve cattle breeding facilities. It will also benefit farmers and people involved in the dairy sector by supporting better livestock management and breeding practices.
During the same day, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones for the expansion of Ahmedabad’s metro network and improvements to the Ahmedabad-Mehsana road. The metro expansion is expected to improve public transportation and make daily travel more convenient for passengers. The road development project aims to improve connectivity, reduce travel difficulties and provide safer journeys for commuters.
The release of ₹19,000 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme will be another major part of the visit. The financial assistance is intended to support eligible farmers with their agricultural and household expenses. The scheme provides direct financial support to farmers, helping them manage farming-related costs.
On October 31, Modi will visit Ekta Nagar and pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity. The occasion marks Patel’s birth anniversary and celebrates his important role in bringing different princely states together to build a united India.
The Prime Minister will also launch several development projects worth more than ₹400 crore in Ekta Nagar. These projects are expected to improve local infrastructure, public facilities and tourism-related services, making the area more attractive and convenient for visitors.
Another important event during the visit will be Bharat Parv 2026, a cultural festival celebrating India’s unity, diversity and traditions. The festival will showcase different aspects of Indian culture, including traditional performances, art, handicrafts and regional customs. It will continue until November 15 and is expected to attract visitors from different parts of the country.
The two-day Gujarat visit brings together several important development initiatives covering agriculture, transportation, infrastructure and tourism. The projects are expected to improve public facilities, support farmers and strengthen Gujarat’s development. The celebrations at the Statue of Unity will also highlight Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution to India’s national unity.
