Police Vehicle Hits Bike, Three Killed in Sivagangai

Three members of a family, including a two-year-old child, died in a tragic
road accident near Thiruppuvanam in Sivagangai district, Tamil Nadu.
The accident happened when a police vehicle reportedly hit their motorbike.
The victims were identified as Prasath (25), his wife Sathya (20), and their
two-year-old son. Another person, Sonai Eswari, was also travelling with them
at the time of the accident.

According to reports, the family was returning home when the police vehicle
from Ramanathapuram allegedly rammed into their motorbike while they were
crossing Sakkudi. The impact threw all four riders off the bike. Prasath,
Sathya, and their child died on the spot, while Sonai Eswari suffered serious
injuries and was taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.

Local residents gathered at the scene soon after the accident and expressed
anger over the incident. They demanded strict action against the driver of the
police vehicle and better road safety measures in the area. Police officials
have started an investigation to find out what caused the accident and whether
the vehicle was speeding at the time.
