PV Sindhu vs Anmol Kharb: Hylo Open 2026 Semifinal

PV Sindhu will face Anmol Kharb in an all-Indian women’s singles semifinal at the Hylo Open 2026 on Saturday. The winner will advance to the final, with both players aiming for a spot in the title match.

The match is set to take place at 6:40 PM IST (2:10 PM local time) at Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken. Indian fans can watch it live on the BWF TV YouTube channel and FanCode.

PV Sindhu, the second seed and two-time Olympic medalist, has reached the semifinals after defeating Denmark’s Amalie Schulz 21-12, 21-10 in just 28 minutes. Her strong performance follows a runners-up finish at the French Open.

Anmol Kharb, on the other hand, had a tougher quarterfinal against sixth-seeded Unnati Hooda. She won 21-17, 18-21, 21-16 after dropping the second game and regaining control in the third. This sets up her first meeting with Sindhu since their earlier match at the Syed Modi International, where Sindhu emerged victorious.

A win for Sindhu would send her to another World Tour final, while Kharb could achieve her biggest career breakthrough yet. The other semifinal features Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong and Denmark’s Line Kjaersfeldt, with their winner facing either Sindhu or Kharb in the final.

Meanwhile, India’s Lakshya Sen has advanced to the men’s singles semifinals, where he will face France’s Toma Junior Popov later that day at 8:10 PM IST (3:40 PM local time) on Court 1.

Saturday’s match is a crucial moment for Indian badminton, with both players knowing a win brings them closer to the title.
