Guwahati (Assam) [India], January 26 (ANI): After India’s big eight-wicket win over New Zealand in the third T20I, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi said he focused on bowling in the right areas and improving his lengths following a difficult Indian Premier League (IPL) season last year.
Bishnoi was one of the key players in India’s victory, taking 2 wickets for just 18 runs in his four overs. His disciplined bowling helped restrict New Zealand to 153/9 in 20 overs, giving India an easy target to chase and laying the foundation for a strong win in Guwahati.
At the post-match press conference, Bishnoi said he worked closely with his coaches at home in Jodhpur after being left out of the Indian T20I team. He added that playing domestic tournaments like the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and the Ranji Trophy helped him regain confidence and form.
Bishnoi explained that focusing on the basics, such as bowling in the right areas and maintaining consistent lengths, was key to his comeback. He said that practicing regularly and playing matches helped him improve his skills and perform well for the national team.
His strong performance in Guwahati shows that the young leg-spinner is back in form and could play an important role for India in future matches.
