Rijiju Blames Congress for Lok Sabha Disruptions

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has accused the Congress party of disrupting the smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha. He said the repeated interruptions by Congress members have stalled important discussions in the House.

Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Rijiju said the unruly behaviour of some Congress MPs prevented the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address. He added that such disruptions affected the normal proceedings of Parliament.

The Minister also said that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had expressed concern over the conduct of the Opposition members. According to him, the Speaker was worried that the repeated protests and disturbances were wasting valuable time meant for debates.

Rijiju pointed out that the government has already submitted the list of all NDA MPs who are scheduled to speak during the debate on the Union Budget. He said many members are prepared to present their views and take part in the discussion.

However, he warned that if the debate does not take place properly because of disruptions, the responsibility will lie with the Congress party. He stressed that Parliament should function smoothly so that important national issues can be discussed.

The Minister urged all parties to cooperate and allow healthy debates instead of creating disturbances, so that the House can work effectively for the benefit of the people.
