Rithvik Sanjeevi of Hatsun Badminton Centre wins Men’s Singles title at Senior National Badminton Championships

Rithvik Sanjeevi of the Hatsun Badminton Centre won the Men’s Singles title at the Senior National Badminton Championships, delivering a landmark national victory for Tamil Nadu which concluded today in Vijayawada.

Rithvik played six matches en-route to the title, showing control and consistency through the draw. In the final, he defeated Bharat Raghav of Haryana 21-16, 22-20 to clinch the national crown.

In the semi-final, Rithvik produced a significant result by defeating top seed and world number 38 Kiran George of Kerala in a closely contested three game match, winning 21 16, 17 21, 22 20. The win underlined his ability to manage pressure against higher ranked opponents.

Rajanikanth, Head Coach, Hatsun Badminton Centre, said, “Rithvik stayed disciplined across matches and handled critical points well. His movement and recovery were sharper through the later rounds. This title reflects steady preparation and execution.”
