Safran strengthened its long-term manufacturing and defense presence in
India on Wednesday. CEO Olivier Andriès called India a “key pillar” of the
company’s global strategy for both civil and military aviation. Speaking in
Hyderabad after opening the world’s largest LEAP engine MRO facility, Andriès
said India is the only country outside France where Safran is ready to assemble
engines and important parts for Rafale fighter jets if more orders come in.
