The Supreme Court on Thursday (November 20, 2025) extended its temporary order
that stops the legal case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from moving
forward. The protection has now been extended until December 4.
The case is about Rahul Gandhi’s alleged negative comments about the
Indian Army during his 2022 Bharat Jodo Yatra.
A Bench of Justices M.M. Sundresh and Satish Chandra Sharma decided to postpone
the hearing. They noted that a request for adjournment had been submitted through
a letter, so the Court agreed to delay the proceedings.
With the extension, no action can be taken against Rahul Gandhi in this case
until the Supreme Court hears the matter again on the new date.
