India’s main stock markets, Sensex and Nifty, continued to rise for
the fourth day in a row on Thursday. The gains came as investors felt
positive about a possible India–US trade deal and were encouraged by
signs of lower inflation.
At the end of the day, the Sensex went up by 12.16 points, or 0.01%,
to close at 84,478.67. With this, it has now gained a total of 1,262
points over the last four sessions.
The Nifty50 index also increased slightly by 3.35 points, or 0.01%, to
finish at 25,879.15.
