In the Men’s Hockey India League, SG Pipers claimed their first win of the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Hyderabad Toofans at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Stadium in Ranchi on Monday night.
Tomas Domene was the star for the Pipers, scoring both goals. He opened the scoring early with a brilliant drag-flick in the 8th minute, setting the tone for the match. Goalkeeper Tomas Santiago also played a key role, making several important saves, including a crucial penalty stroke stop in the final quarter, to keep Hyderabad at bay.
