“Shashi Tharoor Skips Congress Kerala Poll Meeting”

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will not attend an important meeting called by the party’s high command to discuss preparations for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections. According to sources, Tharoor decided to stay away after he felt “insulted” during a Mahapanchayat event held in Kochi. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was also present at the event.

Sources said Tharoor was unhappy with the way he was treated during the programme. Though the exact reason has not been officially shared, it reportedly left him upset. As a result, he chose not to participate in the meeting, which is considered crucial for planning the party’s election strategy in Kerala.

His absence from the discussion has raised questions about possible internal differences within the Congress party. Political observers believe this could signal tensions within the state unit at a time when the party is trying to strengthen its position before the high-stakes Assembly elections.

The Congress leadership is expected to hold further talks to resolve any issues and ensure unity as the party prepares for the upcoming polls.
