Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Monday tried to clear the doubts about a power struggle between him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. For a long time, there have been rumours that the two leaders are not on good terms. However, Shivakumar said that both of them are working closely together for the welfare of the people.
He said they are working “hand-in-hand” and focusing on development and governance rather than politics. Shivakumar added that his strength comes from all the MLAs of the ruling Congress alliance, including Siddaramaiah.
The Deputy Chief Minister said he has always supported Siddaramaiah during difficult times and will continue to stand by him. He also mentioned that the Chief Minister has supported him during his own challenges.
Shivakumar’s comments aim to show unity within the Congress government and assure people that there is no internal conflict, and that the leadership is united in serving the state.
