Shivakumar Warns Leaders Against Public Remarks

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Monday asked Congress leaders to strictly follow the instructions given by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge had directed party members not to make public comments about leadership matters.

Shivakumar said that speaking openly about who should lead the party could harm the Congress. He warned that such statements might create confusion among party workers and supporters.

He spoke to reporters at his residence in Sadashivanagar. During the interaction, he said that comments made either in his support or against him were not helpful. According to him, these remarks only create unnecessary controversy and affect the party’s image.

Shivakumar stressed the importance of party discipline and unity. He said leaders and workers should focus on strengthening the party instead of discussing internal matters in public.

The Deputy Chief Minister also reminded party members that the high command’s instructions must be respected to maintain unity and avoid misunderstandings within the organisation.
