Shubman Gill will not play in the second Test in Guwahati against South Africa.
The match will start on November 22 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium. The Indian
captain got a neck spasm on the second day of the first Test at Eden Gardens
in Kolkata.
He left the field immediately and was taken to a private hospital in Kolkata for
treatment. He stayed there for one day under observation and was discharged the
next day. On the third morning of the first Test, the BCCI said that Shubman
would not be able to play.
