Mahabubnagar (Telangana), April 9 (ANI): The Sansad Khel Mahotsav, a sports and fitness festival, will kick off in Mahabubnagar on April 9 and run until April 24. This event aims to promote grassroots sporting culture through competitions at the mandal, constituency, and parliamentary levels.
The tournament features four sports: Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Cricket, and Volleyball. It will start with matches at the mandal level, with winners advancing to higher stages. Over 3,000 teams are expected to participate across all categories.
MP DK Aruna highlighted that the event is open to everyone aged 16 to 45, regardless of gender or education level. The festival concludes on April 24 with prize distribution and cultural performances, with the Governor invited as the chief guest.
The initiative seeks to bring communities together through sports and promote the “Fit India” message, encouraging youth leadership and fitness across rural and urban areas.
