Sri Lanka Crush Oman with 105-Run Win

Rathnayake smashed 60 runs off just 28 balls, playing aggressive shots all around the ground. Captain Dasun Shanaka also returned to form with a quick 50 runs from only 20 balls. Meanwhile, Kusal Mendis played a steady and confident innings, scoring 61 runs from 45 balls. This was his second half-century in the tournament.

After Oman chose to bowl first, Sri Lanka put up a huge total of 225 for 5 in their 20 overs. It was their second-highest score in T20 World Cup history and the highest total recorded in this year’s tournament so far.

Oman struggled to chase the big target and could not keep up with the required run rate. Sri Lanka’s bowlers kept the pressure on and secured a comfortable 105-run win, sending a strong message to other teams in the competition.
