Three Arrested in Maharashtra for Theft of Liquid Gold in Chennai

Chennai police have made a significant breakthrough in the case of the theft of over six kilograms of liquid gold from a gold-making unit in T. Nagar. The investigation led to the arrest of three individuals from the Sangli district in Maharashtra. The theft, reported on November 28, saw the intruder entering the unit without any forced entry, concealing their identity in CCTV footage.

Subsequent inquiries with the gold-making unit’s employees revealed that the theft was orchestrated by Somnath, a former employee. The arrested individuals, including Nana and Rahul, were brought to Chennai by a special police team. This development sheds light on the meticulous planning involved in the theft and underscores the effectiveness of police efforts to apprehend the culprits across state boundaries.
