Tight Security at Risk-Prone Bangladesh Polling Centres

More than half of the polling centres in Bangladesh have been marked as “risk-prone” ahead of the upcoming general elections. Election officials said these centres may be more vulnerable to disturbances or security issues, so extra precautions are being taken to ensure safe and fair voting.

To improve security, around 90% of the polling stations will be monitored using CCTV cameras. This will help authorities keep a close watch on activities inside and around the voting centres and quickly respond to any problems.

In the capital city, Dhaka, a large number of police officers will be deployed on election duty. Many of them will wear body cameras to record their actions and maintain transparency during the polling process. Officials believe this will help prevent misconduct and ensure proper behaviour from both voters and security personnel.

The authorities said these steps are aimed at maintaining law and order and giving voters confidence to cast their votes without fear. Special teams will also patrol sensitive areas to avoid violence or disruptions.

With these strict security measures in place, the administration hopes to conduct peaceful and smooth elections across the country.
