Delhi is on high alert on Thursday because Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in the evening for a two-day visit. Very tight security has been arranged for him.

Police said they will not share the place where Putin will stay because of security reasons.

Senior police officers said many security teams will work together and watch every movement closely.

“Plans are being made for every minute, and all teams have been told to stay very alert.
Top Delhi Police officers are checking roads, traffic, and safety in the areas Putin may visit.

“All travel routes have already been secured. Traffic updates will be shared to reduce problems for the public.

Delhi Police, central agencies, and Putin’s personal guards have made a strong security plan with SWAT teams, anti-terror units, snipers, and fast-response teams at key locations.
