More than 3 lakh teachers wrote the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test
(TNTET) Paper II on Sunday. Teachers who want to teach Classes 6 to 8 must pass
this exam.
Many candidates said the psychology section was difficult. The questions were
based on real-life situations, and three out of four options looked almost the
same, so it was hard to pick the correct answer. “Only 15–20 marks were easy.
The rest was confusing,” said M. Vinodhini, who wrote the exam for the first time.
But teachers who had taken the test earlier said it felt easier this year
because they prepared well. “I studied psychology for one month,” said a
repeat candidate. For arts stream teachers, the exam was easier because
they got social science questions instead of psychology.
