In the 87th Senior National Badminton Championships, top players
Unnati Hooda, Tanvi Sharma, Rounak Chauhan, and Sanskar Saraswat won their
matches and moved ahead in the tournament held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, yesterday.
Top seed Unnati Hooda defeated wildcard entrant Akanksha Matte 21-8, 21-18.
Tanvi Sharma started her campaign with a 21-10, 21-14 win over Shaina Manimuthu.
In the Men’s Singles, Guwahati Masters Super 100 champion Sanskar Saraswat won
convincingly 21-11, 21-13 against Shikhar Rallan.
