South Africa will not be invited to the G20 Summit that the US will host in
Florida next year. President Donald Trump said the country is not “worthy” of
being part of the group. The US will take charge of the G20 from South Africa on December 1, 2025, and will lead the group until November 30, 2026.
Trump said on Truth Social that the US did not attend the G20 meeting in South
Africa because the South African government refuses to recognise or address what
he called serious human rights abuses against Afrikaners and other people with
Dutch, French, and German ancestry.
