Trump Vows Action to Help End Sudan War

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (November 19, 2025) that he will now
focus more on helping to end the violent civil war in Sudan. He made this decision
after Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman asked him to step in and
support efforts to stop the fighting.

The civil war in Sudan has caused thousands of deaths, forced many families to
leave their homes, and created a serious humanitarian crisis. Many countries
and international groups have been urging world leaders to help bring peace
to the region.

Trump, who often says he has helped end several wars since returning to office
and has openly sought recognition such as the Nobel Peace Prize, admitted that
he had not been paying attention to the Sudan conflict earlier. He said the issue
“I wasn’t really aware of it until I recently spoke with the crown prince.”

Trump added that the United States would now look into what it can do to support
peace talks and reduce the violence in Sudan. He said he hoped that increased
international attention would help bring both sides of the conflict to the
negotiation table.
