Udhayanidhi Slams Centre Over State Rights Violations

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Friday strongly criticised the Central government, calling the Narendra Modi-led government “fascist.” He accused the Centre of repeatedly violating Tamil Nadu’s constitutional and financial rights.

Speaking at a party gathering in Thanjavur, Stalin said the Central government has been unfair to the state through its policies and budget decisions. He claimed that Tamil Nadu is not receiving its fair share of funds and support.

He further alleged that the Centre is trying to reduce the state’s powers, especially in areas like finance and education. According to him, these actions are aimed at weakening Tamil Nadu’s authority and limiting its development.

Stalin also said that the Centre is unable to accept Tamil Nadu’s progress and success in various sectors. He accused the government of trying to marginalise the state instead of supporting its growth.

His remarks come amid growing tensions between the state government and the Centre over issues related to funding, rights, and state autonomy.
