Chennai: The body of an unidentified man, believed to be a guest worker, was found inside a bloodstained gunny bag near a two-wheeler showroom in Indira Nagar, Adyar, on Monday morning.
People living nearby saw the suspicious bag on First Avenue and informed the Adyar police. When the police opened it, they found the body of a man aged around 40 years. He had several injuries, and police believe he was killed.
During the early investigation, police found that two men on a motorcycle came to the area around midnight on Sunday and left the bag there before riding away. Police suspect that these men may be connected to the crime.
Officers are now checking CCTV cameras in nearby streets and shops to identify the suspects. They are also trying to trace the motorcycle using its number plate. At the same time, police are working to identify the victim and learn more about him.
