United Muslim Forum Extends Support to Bharat Rashtra Samithi in Telangana Assembly Elections

The United Muslim Forum (UMF), a coalition of various socio-religious organizations, has pledged its support to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections on November 30. Leaders representing the UMF met with BRS working President K.T. Rama Rao to convey their full endorsement of the ruling party.

They commended the BRS government for its dedicated efforts in improving the welfare of minorities in Telangana, including the allocation of the highest budget for minority initiatives compared to other states in the country. The UMF leaders also recognized the positive impact of various schemes introduced by the BRS government, such as residential schools for minority students and the ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ program benefiting women from minority communities.

The UMF delegation presented a memorandum to K.T. Rama Rao, outlining recommendations for future measures to support the minority population. In response, Rama Rao emphasized the government’s commitment to the welfare of all sections of society, underlining the absence of curfews or communal disturbances in the state over the past decade and highlighting Telangana’s embrace of the culture of ‘Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb.’
