The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved a big increase in the salaries of Shiksha Mitra and part-time instructors. This decision was taken on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, following the announcement made earlier by Yogi Adityanath.
This move will benefit lakhs of education workers across Uttar Pradesh and is expected to support and improve the education system in the state.
According to the new decision, the monthly pay of Shiksha Mitra has been increased from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000. Earlier, this amount was fixed in 2017 and had not changed since then.
In the same way, part-time instructors will now receive ₹17,000 per month, instead of the earlier ₹9,000. This is a significant rise and will help improve their financial situation.
The new salary structure will come into effect from April 1, 2026. This increase shows the government’s effort to support education workers and recognise their contribution to the system.
