US Envoys Applaud India-US Trade Cooperation Pact

The United States Ambassador Sergio Gor has praised President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the recent India–US joint statement on trade and economic cooperation.

In a post on social media platform X, Ambassador Gor appreciated the leadership and vision of both leaders. He said their efforts have helped start a new phase in relations between the two countries and strengthened economic ties.

Meanwhile, United States Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer also welcomed President Trump’s announcement of the trade deal framework with India.

Greer said the agreement aims to remove both tariff and non-tariff barriers, which often make trade difficult. He added that the deal will help open India’s large market to American goods and businesses.

In an official statement, Greer explained that the agreement would benefit American workers, farmers, and producers. By lowering tariffs on U.S. industrial goods and many agricultural products, exports to India are expected to grow.

Officials believe the trade framework will increase business opportunities, improve cooperation, and boost economic growth for both nations.
