Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP from Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi, is scheduled to visit Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, for a two-day tour starting May 19, 2026, according to a Congress party office-bearer.
Congress district president Pankaj Tiwari said that Rahul Gandhi will take part in several public events during his visit. On the first day, he will inaugurate a marriage hall at Thakurain Kheda in Bachhrawan. The hall is expected to be used for social and community functions by local residents.
After the inauguration, he will address a public meeting in Khiron. Party workers and local residents are expected to attend the event in large numbers, where he is likely to speak about local issues and party plans.
Later in Lalganj, Rahul Gandhi will participate in a “mahila samvaad” programme, where he will interact with women and discuss their concerns, including social welfare, employment, and development-related issues.
Party leaders said the visit is part of efforts to strengthen the party’s connection with people in the constituency and understand local problems more closely.
Security arrangements are expected to be tightened ahead of his visit due to the large number of supporters likely to gather at the events.
