The US will raise immigration and border-related fees from January 1, 2026, the
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said. These changes are part of a law
called the “One Big Beautiful Bill” (HR-1), which requires DHS to update some
immigration fees every year based on inflation.
DHS has announced the new, inflation-adjusted fees for the Electronic Visa Update
System (EVUS) and the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).
and the parole fee for non-citizens who are allowed to enter the US temporarily.
People who use these services may have to pay slightly more when travelling to
the United States.
