Vietnamese President To Lam will visit India for three days, from May 5 to May 7. This will be his first official visit to India after becoming president. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes ministers and senior government officials.
The main aim of the visit is to strengthen the relationship between India and Vietnam. Both countries want to improve cooperation in important areas such as defence, trade, and technology. This visit is also important because of increasing global tensions and changes in international trade.
President To Lam also serves as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. During his visit, he is expected to hold detailed talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The leaders will discuss ways to increase cooperation between the two countries. They will focus on expanding trade, improving defence ties, and working together on new and advanced technologies.
The visit is expected to further strengthen the “comprehensive strategic partnership” between India and Vietnam and open new opportunities for both countries in the future.
