Vijay’s Political Entry Unsettles Dravidian Parties

Filmmaker and actor S.A. Chandrasekhar, the father of actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay, has said that his son is facing political pressure after entering politics. He also criticised the Dravidian parties that have ruled Tamil Nadu for many decades.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Chandrasekhar said that Dravidian parties have been in power in the State for more than 60 years. He suggested that these long-established parties may feel threatened by Vijay’s entry into politics.

According to him, Vijay’s decision to start his political journey has unsettled some powerful political groups. He claimed that since Vijay began his political activities, there has been pressure and challenges aimed at slowing him down.

Chandrasekhar did not give specific details about the type of pressure but said his son is determined to continue his political work. He added that Vijay wants to serve the people and bring change to the State.

Vijay, a popular film star with a large fan following, recently announced his move into politics. His entry has attracted significant attention and is seen as a major development in Tamil Nadu’s political scene.

Chandrasekhar’s remarks have sparked political debate, with supporters backing Vijay while others dismissed the claims as political criticism.
