Volcanic Ash Disrupts Flights in India

Indian airlines Air India and Akasa Air said on Tuesday that they had cancelled
some flights because volcanic ash from an eruption in Ethiopia entered Indian
airspace and affected flight operations, Reuters reported.

After the aviation regulator DGCA issued a safety order, Air India cancelled 11
flights on Monday and Tuesday to carry out precautionary checks on planes that
had flown over certain areas after the eruption.
