Indian cricketer Washington Sundar shared a cheerful photo of himself and teammate Sanju Samson enjoying the rainy weather under clear umbrellas in Tokyo. The image captures Sundar taking a selfie while Samson gestures approval behind him, with the city lights glowing in the background.
Sundar posted the picture on X with the caption, “Clear umbrella and Tokyo lights #oneofakind.” This comes ahead of India’s One-Off T20I match against Japan.
Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team will wear their regular BCCI jerseys for the match against Japan, as it is a friendly game. However, they have received their official Asian Games kits for the rest of the tournament. A MYAS source confirmed that the sizing issues have been resolved.
The 20th Asian Games are being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. India is competing across 36 sports and will play its first match in the 2026 edition on September 28. The T20I against Japan is not part of the Asian Games competition.
The Suzuki Cup will take place on September 22 at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Tochigi Prefecture.
