World Heart Day is observed every year on September 29 to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), their prevention and their impact on people around the world.
On the occasion, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda shared a message highlighting the importance of understanding warning signs, following healthy lifestyle habits, managing cardiovascular risk factors and seeking timely medical care.
Nadda also reaffirmed the government’s focus on protecting heart health and strengthening efforts to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
This year’s theme, “Don’t Miss a Beat,” encourages people to pay greater attention to their heart health and take preventive steps. The day serves as a reminder that awareness, healthy habits and timely medical attention can play an important role in reducing the risk of heart-related diseases.
World Heart Day is marked globally through awareness campaigns and educational activities aimed at encouraging people to make heart health a priority.
