Yemen Declares Emergency After Saudi Airstrikes

Yemen’s anti-Houthi forces declared a state of emergency on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, after Saudi Arabia carried out airstrikes targeting an arms shipment in the country. The weapons were reportedly being sent from the United Arab Emirates to separatist groups in Yemen.

Following the airstrikes, the anti-Houthi forces announced strict security measures. They imposed a 72-hour ban on all border crossings in the areas under their control. Entry and exit through airports and seaports have also been stopped.

Only movements approved by Saudi Arabia will be allowed during this period. The forces said the steps were taken to maintain security and prevent further escalation.

The situation remains tense, with authorities closely monitoring developments in the region.
