Marking World Cancer Day, GEM Hospital today reaffirmed its commitment to advancing cancer care by launching Dr. GEM, an innovative AI++ GEM Intelligence chatbot for cancer, and inaugurating two new patient-focused initiatives—Free cancer screening programmes for pensioners and a Free Second Opinion Consultation for all cancer patients throughout this February. Currently, an average of 100 people in every 1 lakh are affected by various types of cancer in India. Among which 35-40% are mainly due to tobacco usage. Emphasizing timely screening, he highlighted how awareness and early intervention remain the most effective tools in the fight against cancer. Rtn.
