மத்திய அரசின் பாதுகாப்பு ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் மேம்பாட்டு அமைப்பின் சேவைக்காக இ.ஓ.எஸ். என்-1 என்ற செயற்கைக்கோள் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. முதன்மை செயற்கைக்கோளான இதனுடன் ஸ்பானிஷ் நிறுவனத்தால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ‘கெஸ்ட்ரல் இனிஷியல் டெமான்ஸ்ட்ரேட்டர்’ என்ற ஒரு சிறிய சோதனைக் கருவியும் பொருத்தப்பட்டது.

இந்தியா, மொரீஷியஸ், லக்சம்பர்க், ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம், சிங்கப்பூர், ஐரோப்பா மற்றும் அமெரிக்கா முழுவதும் உள்ள நிறுவனங்கள் மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனங்களின் 17 வணிக செயற்கைக்கோள்களும் இதனுடன் விண்ணுக்கு ஏவப்படுகிறது.

இந்த பி.எஸ்.எல்.வி. சி-62 ராக்கெட்டுக்கான இறுதிக்கட்டப்பணியான கவுண்ட்டவுன் நேற்று காலை 10.12 மணிக்கு தொடங்கியது. ராக்கெட் மற்றும் செயற்கைக்கோள்களின் ஒருங்கிணைப்புப் பணிகள் நிறைவடைந்துவிட்டன. ஏவுதலுக்கு முந்தைய சோதனைகள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன.

ராக்கெட் மற்றும் செயற்கைக்கோளின் செயல்பாடுகளை இஸ்ரோ விஞ்ஞானிகள் தீவிரமாக கண்காணித்து வருகின்றனர்.

இந்திய விண்வெளிப் பயணத்திற்கு ஒரு முக்கிய ஆண்டு 2025 நிறைவடையும் நிலையில், இஸ்ரோ விஞ்ஞானிகள் புத்தாண்டில் தனது முழு கவனத்தையும் செலுத்தி வருகின்றனர். 2026-ம் ஆண்டு மேற்கொள்ளப்படவுள்ள பயணங்களின் வெற்றி எதிர்கால மனித விண்வெளிப் பயணத்திற்கு வலுவான அடித்தளத்தை அமைக்கும். அதனால்தான் இந்த ஆண்டை இஸ்ரோ மிகவும் முக்கியமானதாக கருதுகிறது என்று இஸ்ரோ தலைவர் வி.நாராயணன் கூறினார்.

இதுகுறித்து இஸ்ரோ விஞ்ஞானிகள் கூறியதாவது:-

புத்தாண்டில் இஸ்ரோவின் மற்றொரு முக்கிய மைல்கல் பி.எஸ்.எல்.வி. சி-62 ராக்கெட் மூலம் இ.ஓ.எஸ்.-என்-1 செயற்கைக்கோள் விண்ணில் ஏவப்படுகிறது. தொடர்ந்து, இஸ்ரோவின் வடிவமைப்பின் அடிப்படையில் எச்.ஏ.எல் மற்றும் ‘எல் அண்ட் டி’யால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட பி.எஸ்.எல்.வி. ராக்கெட்டில் ஓசோன்சாட்-3ஏ செயற்கைக்கோள் முதல் காலாண்டில் விண்ணில் ஏவப்படுகிறது. நிலம் மற்றும் கடல் கண்காணிப்புக்காக வடிவமைக்கப்பட்ட இந்த செயற்கைக்கோள், வானிலை ஆய்வுகள் மற்றும் மீன்வளத்திற்கு பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்கும். வருகிற 2027-ம் ஆண்டு 3 விண்வெளி வீரர்களை சுற்றுப்பாதைக்கு அனுப்பி மீண்டும் பத்திரமாக பூமிக்கு அழைத்து வரும் ககன்யான் திட்டத்துக்காக 3 ஆள் இல்லாத ராக்கெட்டை விண்ணில் ஏவி பரிசோதனை செய்ய இஸ்ரோ தயாராகி வருகிறது.

இதற்கான முதல் ராக்கெட்டை புத்தாண்டில் இஸ்ரோ விண்ணில் ஏவுகிறது. இதில் வியோமித்ரா என்ற பெண் ரோபோவும் பயணிக்கிறது. இந்த ரோபோ, விண்வெளி வீரர்களுக்கான பாதுகாப்பை முழுமையாக சோதிக்கும். தொடர்ந்து, எஸ்.எஸ்.எல்.வி. ராக்கெட் மூலம் ஒரு சிறிய செயற்கைக்கோள் விண்ணில் ஏவப்படுகிறது.

தொடர்ந்து ஜி.எஸ்.எல்.வி. ரக ராக்கெட் மூலம் என்.வி.எஸ்-03 (ஐ.ஆர்.என்.எஸ்.எஸ்.1எல்) என்ற வழி செலுத்தும் செயற்கைக்கோள் விண்ணில் செலுத்தப்படுகிறது. இவை முதல் காலாண்டில் விண்ணில் ஏவ இஸ்ரோ திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.

“Under this one-month programme, selected students, mostly Class 8 pass students, will be given lectures and access to research laboratories,” ISRO Chairman K. Sivan told reporters here.

He said a management system has been put in place for the Gaganyaan, India’s first human-carrying space flight intended to be launched by 2021.

“For Gaganyaan Programme we have already placed a management structure in ISRO. First unmanned mission by December 2020, second unmanned mission by July 2021 and the real human space flight will be launched by December 2021,” Sivan said.

The spacecraft is being built by ISRO and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and is designed to accommodate three people.

Weighing about 5,854 kg, GSAT-11 is the heaviest satellite built by ISRO.

GSAT-11 is the fore-runner in the series of advanced communication satellites with multi-spot beam antenna coverage over Indian mainland and Islands, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said.

“GSAT-11 will boost the broadband connectivity to rural and inaccessible Gram Panchayats in the country coming under the Bharat Net Project, which is part of Digital India Programme,” ISRO Chairman K. Sivan was quoted as saying in a statement issued on Wednesday.

The Bharat Net Project aims to enhance the public welfare schemes like e-banking, e-health, e-governance among others.

He said GSAT-11 will act as a forerunner to all future high throughput communication satellites.

“Today’s successful mission has boosted the confidence of the entire team,” Sivan added.

According to ISRO, GSAT-11 will play a vital role in providing broadband services across the country. It will also provide a platform to demonstrate new generation applications.

The satellite with a mission life of 15 years will have 32 user beams (Ku band) and eight hub beams (Ka band) and the throughput data rate of 16 Gbps.

The Indian space agency said the GSAT-11 will be used to meet the increased data demands with high data rates over regions using spot beams.

The satellite will support VSAT terminals and for enterprise network and consumer broadband applications.

After the GSAT-11 was launched into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO), ISRO’s Master Control Facility at Hassan took over the satellite’s control to raise the orbit to a circular Geostationary Orbit, ISRO said.

It was a dual launch for Arianespace as its heavy lift Ariane 5 rocket also put into orbit Korea’s GEO-KOMPSAT-2A satellite.

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to two very special partners since the beginning of their space ambitions: ISRO and KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute,” said Arianespace CEO Stephane Israel in post-launch comments from the Kourou Spaceport.

Israel noted that GSAT-11 was the 22nd ISRO satellite orbited by Arianespace and Ariane-series launchers, tracing the relationship back to India’s APPLE small experimental communications spacecraft, which had a liftoff mass of 670-kg. and was lofted in 1981 by an Ariane 1 version.

During its 33 minutes mission, the Ariane 5 rocket deployed first the GSAT-11.

For Arianespace this was its 10th mission in 2018.

Arianespace has one more mission scheduled before year-end, using the Soyuz medium-lift member of its launcher family to orbit the CSO-1 spacecraft for France’s DGA (Direction generale de l’armement) defence procurement agency and the French CNES space agency, the space agency said.

In April, ISRO had recalled GSAT-11 from Arianespace’s rocket port in French Guiana for further tests, to be on the safe side.

“We are bringing back the GSAT-11 satellite to carry out some tests to be doubly sure of its performance orbiting in the space. There is nothing more to it,” K. Sivan, Chairman ISRO had told IANS then.

The GSAT-11 was planned to be launched mid May. The satellite had reached Arianespace’s rocket port in March.

The ISRO’s move to call back GSAT-11 for further tests and be doubly sure of its performance may be due to the loss of the recently launched GSAT-6A satellite, soon after it was put into orbit on March 29.

ISRO suspected the failure of the power systems in the satellite for the loss of communication link.

“The satellites are powered by solar panels that charge the onboard batteries. The batteries are fully charged when the satellite is loaded on to the rocket.

“Even if there is a problem with the solar panel, then the battery power should have kicked in. Here the entire power system of the satellite seems to have failed,” one space expert told had IANS earlier.

According to experts, the power system could have failed due to some short-circuiting or arcing resulting in what is known in the space terminology ‘loss of lock’ or loss of contact with the ground station.

Satellites in space are locked to ground stations for tracking and other purposes.

On March 29, Indian rocket Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) slung GSAT-6A in its intended orbit. From there the satellite was to be taken up further to its orbital slot by firing its onboard motors.

The first orbit raising operation was successfully carried out by firing the onboard motors for around 36 minutes on March 30 morning.

The second orbit raising operation of GSAT-6A satellite was also successful as its motors were fired for about 53 minutes on March 31.

After that, the communication link got snapped.

In the process, India has crossed the milestone of lifting and putting into orbit over 250 foreign satellites. India has till date has put into orbit 269 foreign satellites.

The notable aspect of the rocket mission is the placing of the satellites in two different orbits — one at a higher altitude and the others in a lower one.

After the successful launch, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman K. Sivan said: “Once again Indian space scientists showed their excellence. The PSLV injected the HysIS first and later the 30 foreign customers satellites.

The HysIS is a state-of-the-art satellite. The heart of the satellite, a critical chip called the optical imaging detector array chip was designed by ISRO’s Satellite Applications Centre (SAC) and fabricated by Semi-Conductor Laboratory of ISRO.

It can read upto 1000 x 66 pixels.

Queried about the HysIS’ application for strategic/defence purposes Sivan said: “Our duty is to build the satellite to identify the object clearly. The actual use of the data is left for the users.”

The primary goal of HysIS is to study the earth’s surface in visible, near infrared and shortwave infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, he said.

Hyperspectral imaging is an imaging spectroscopy which combines the power of digital imaging and spectroscopy.

This imaging technology enables to distinguish objects on the earth by reading the spectrum for each pixel of an item seen from the space.

On the manned space mission planned by ISRO, Sivan said the first unmanned mission — a prelude to the manned one — will happen in December 2020.

There will be another mission later again ahead of the human space mission by 2022.

When asked about the training to be provided to the Indian astronauts Sivan said the plan is to develop most of the facilities within the country and for some training they may go overseas.

Sivan also said that the next launch will be of communication satellite GSAT-11 from French Guiana on December 5, which will followed by GSAT-7A by the Indian rocket Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) from here.

According to him, in 2019 ISRO will be launching a micro-satellite, Chandrayaan-2 (moon mission), RISAT and Cartosat satellites.

Meanwhile on Thursday at about 9.58 a.m., the four staged/engine PSLV-CA rocket, standing 44.4 metres tall and weighing about 230 tonne, blasted off from the first launch pad.

With the fierce orange flame at its tail, the rocket slowly gained speed and went up enthralling the people at the rocket port while the engine roared like a rolling thunder adding to the thrill.

More thrilling aspect came in when rocket’s fourth stage/engine was cut/switched off in just over 16 minutes after the lift off.

A minute later, the Indian satellite HysIS with a mission life of five years was placed in 636 km polar sun synchronous orbit.

Following that the rocket was brought to a lower altitude of 503 km.

Post HysIS ejection, the rocket’s fourth stage was restarted at 59.65 minutes after the lift off.

The co-passengers of HysIS include one micro and 29 nano satellites from eight different countries.

Later, the rocket was switched off and on, twice before the final foreign passenger was put into orbit about 112.79 minutes after the rocket’s lift off.

All the foreign satellites were placed in a 504 km orbit, just as the overseas customers wanted their satellites to be placed, Sivan said.

While 23 satellites are from the US, the rest are from Australia, Canada, Columbia, Finland, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Spain.

These satellites have been commercially contracted for launch through Antrix Corporation Limited, the commercial arm of ISRO.

The Indian Space and Research Organisation had earlier carried out a satellite mission spread over two hours in January.

Interacting with Indian students during the recent Festival of Science and Culture here organized by Russian state-run nuclear energy corporation Rosatom, cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko said that yoga could be a part of a rehabilitation programme for astronauts after returning from a space mission.

Kornienko, along with American astronaut Scott Kelly, spent a staggering 342 days in space on the International Space Station (ISS) in 2015.

“We welcome Indian cosmonauts to Russia. We are ready to share our experience and best practices with them. All cosmonauts share their achievements with partners, adding something of their own to space exploration. and Indian cosmonauts can add something,” he said.

The Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) ambitious human space mission project ‘Gaganyaan’, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address earlier this year, envisages sending three Indians to space by 2022.

The Russian noted that bones and muscles could severely decay in space “and this is a major problem for us cosmonauts after landing”.

“Yoga, for example, can be very useful. For example, some yoga elements can help maintain strength and flexibility of the bones and muscles,” he added.

Selected for Russia’s cosmonaut training in 1998, Kornienko has spent a total of 516 days in space and has also carried out two spacewalks lasting over 12 hours in his extra-terrestrial career.

Lauding the progress made by the Indian space programme, Kornienko called for similar joint efforts by countries like Russia, India, and China.

According to official sources in New Delhi, besides ‘Gaganyaan’, India and Russia are currently engaged in talks to establish ground stations for Russia’s global positioning system (GPS) Glonass and for the Indian GPS NaVIC.

Under an agreement signed between India and Russia in 2015, the ISRO and Russian space agency ROSCOSMOS have agreed to work together in space research, including satellite navigation, launch vehicle development and critical technologies for human space flight programmes.

இந்த ராக்கெட் 6 ஆயிரத்து 400 கிலோ எடை கொண்டது. இதன்மூலம் அதிகபட்சம் 4 ஆயிரம் கிலோ எடை உடைய செயற்கைக் கோள்களையும், விண்ணில் செலுத்த முடியும். பல கட்ட சோதனைக்கு பின்னர் கடந்த ஆண்டு ஜூன் 5-ந்தேதி ஜி.எஸ்.எல்.வி. மார்க் 3 ராக்கெட் மூலம் ஜிசாட் 19 செயற்கைக்கோள் விண்ணில் வெற்றிகரமாக செலுத்தப்பட்டது.

அடுத்த கட்டமாக அதிநவீன ஜிசாட் 29 தொலைத்தொடர்பு செயற்கை கோள் மார்க்-3 ராக்கெட் மூலம் ஆந்திரா மாநிலம் ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டாவில் உள்ள சதீஷ் தவான் விண்வெளி ஏவு தளத்தில் இருந்து நாளை மாலை 5.08 மணிக்கு விண்ணில் ஏவப்பட உள்ளது.

இதனையொட்டி இஸ்ரோ தலைவர் சிவன் திருப்பதி ஏழுமலையான் கோவிலில் இன்று சாமி தரிசனம் செய்தார். தரிசனம் முடிந்து வெளியே வந்த அவர் அளித்த பேட்டியில் கூறியதாவது:

கஜா புயல் திசை மாறினால் மார்க்-3 ராக்கெட் விண்ணில் ஏவுவது நிறுத்தப்படும். புயல் திசை மாறாவிட்டால் திட்டமிட்டப்படி நாளை ராக்கெட் விண்ணில் ஏவப்படும்.

மத்திய அரசின் டிஜிட்டல் இந்தியா திட்டத்துக்கு வலுசேர்க்கும் விதமாக மலை மற்றும் அடர்ந்த வனப்பகுதிகளில் தொலைத்தொடர்பு வசதிகளை மேம்படுத்துவதே இதன் முக்கிய பணியாகும். அந்த வகையில் ஜம்மு காஷ்மீர் மற்றும் வடகிழக்கு மாநிலப் பகுதிகள் மிகவும் பயன்பெறும். இதில் அதிக திறன் கொண்ட கா, க்யூ பேண்ட் டிரான்ஸ் பாண்டர்கள், துல்லியமாக படம் எடுக்கும் கேமிராக்கள் பொருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இது தவிர எதிர்கால தேவையை கருத்தில் கொண்டு பரிசோதனை முயற்சியில் க்யூ, வி பேண்ட் டிரான்ஸ்பாண்டர்களும் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளன.

அடுத்ததாக சந்திராயன்-2 மனிதர்கள் பயணம் செய்யக்கூடிய ககன்யாங்க் ஆகிய ராக்கெட்டுகள் தயாரிக்கும் பணி நடந்துவருகிறது.

இவ்வாறு அவர் கூறினார்.

மார்க்-3 ராக்கெட் 3 ஆயிரத்து 423 கிலோ எடை கொண்டது. இதன் ஆயுட்காலம் 10 ஆண்டுகள்.

இஸ்ரோ தயாரித்ததில் ஜி.எஸ்.எல்.வி. மார்க்-3 தான் அதிக எடை கொண்ட ராக்கெட். இதனால் அதற்கு பாகுபலி ராக்கெட் என புனைப் பெயர் வந்துள்ளது. இதையடுத்து வாட்ஸ்அப், பேஸ்புக் உள்ளிட்ட சமூக வலைதளங்களில் கஜா உடன் மோதும் பாகுபலி என பரப்படுகிறது.
