Who would have thought we’d be interviewed by robots? It sounds like science fiction, but it’s now a reality. Artificial intelligence (AI) is being used not just in offices, but also in hiring. It is changing how candidates apply for jobs, are interviewed, and even write cover letters.
The news isn’t all good. According to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), more than half of U.S. companies in 2025 reported using AI to recruit workers, according to CNN.
At the same time, about one-third of ChatGPT users used the AI chatbot to write resumes, cover letters, or prepare for interviews. While AI seems to help job seekers at first, it also brings some worrying problems.
