The Delhi Police recently recognized 16 student innovators for creating technology-based solutions to support policing during their Summer Internship Programme 2026. At a ceremony held at the Police Headquarters, Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar awarded certificates and souvenirs to the students in appreciation of their work.

The internship programme was designed to connect students with the police force and provide young innovators with the chance to tackle real-world policing challenges. The program began on June 8, 2026, and attracted over 400 applications from students across various universities and technical institutions.

Among those selected were students from prestigious institutions like IIT Delhi, Delhi Technological University, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Jamia Hamdard, and Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology. These students worked under the guidance of officers from the Delhi Police Tech and Project Implementation Division.
