On Friday, Google, part of Alphabet, withdrew its antitrust complaint against Microsoft in the European Union. This came a week after EU regulators began checking whether Microsoft should follow rules that limit its power in cloud computing. Last year, Google had complained to the European Commission, claiming that Microsoft’s practices forced customers to stay on its cloud platform, Azure.
In the cloud market, Amazon is the leader with 30% share, Microsoft has 20%, and Google has 13%.
