A recent comment by Eternal CEO Deepinder Goyal has sparked a lot of
discussion online. Goyal said that gravity might be one of the main reasons
living beings age, and he pointed to bats as an example.
According to Goyal, bats live longer because they sleep upside down.
He suggested that this position reduces the damage caused by gravity on
the body, which may help them live much longer than expected.
They spend long hours hanging upside down, with their heads below their hearts.
In this position, gravity helps blood flow to the brain instead of making it
harder,” he said. He added that other animals like sloths and flamingos also
stay in similar positions for long periods, and that gravity might play a role
in their longer lifespans as well.
