The recent Delhi India AI Impact Summit faced several problems despite being a major event. There were publicity blunders, organisational issues, and complaints from attendees. One notable incident involved Galgotias University from the summit.
Delegates also reported long queues, heavy traffic, and even theft of devices, leading to frustration and complaints shared widely on social media and national television. Despite these issues, the summit attracted an enormous crowd.
The venue, Bharat Mandapam, was packed, with around half a million people visiting the convention and expo halls that spanned 123 acres. The large turnout caused hotel prices across the city to rise sharply.
Even though the summit had over 2,000 experts, very few were globally well-known, the massive public interest highlights India’s strong enthusiasm and curiosity for Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event shows that AI is becoming an important topic in the country, drawing both experts and ordinary people eager to learn more.
