NASA has discovered a strange red object moving very fast through the Milky Way.
Called CWISE J1249, this object is puzzling astronomers because it behaves like
a rogue planet but also looks like a failed star. It moves faster than almost
any other known object and has unusual features that do not match current ideas
about how stars and planets form. Scientists around the world are now studying
it to understand where it came from, why it moves so fast, and what it can teach
us about our galaxy.
