India’s medal campaign at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya features several young athletes who have achieved podium finishes. Five of India’s medal winners stand out for their age, all being 20 or younger.
Anahat Singh, a squash player born on 13 March 2008, won silver in the women’s singles event. At just 18 years old, she made history by becoming the first Indian woman to reach the Asian Games final. She had previously earned bronze medals at the 2023 Asian Games.
Tilottama Sen, a shooter born on 25 April 2008, secured silver as part of India’s women’s 50m rifle team. The team finished second with 1,763 points, just behind China. Tilottama also qualified for the individual final but ended in fourth place.
Parth Mane, an 18-year-old shooter born on 13 November 2007, contributed to India’s silver medal in the men’s 10m air rifle team event. Alongside Rudrankksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon, he helped India score 1,890.1 points.
Himanshu Dhillon, born on 29 September 2005, won two silver medals at the age of 20. He secured team silver with Patil and Mane, and later earned individual silver in the same event.
G Kamalini, an 18-year-old wicketkeeper-batter from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, was part of India’s gold-winning women’s cricket team. Her inclusion made her one of the youngest Indian athletes to win a medal at the Games.
