CREDAI Tamil Nadu will host the fifth edition of STATECON, its flagship platform for the State’s real estate and construction industry, on 11 and 12 October 2026 at [VENUE], Chennai. Alongside it, CREDAI Tamil Nadu will launch the first edition of FAIRBUILD 2026, a B2B construction and building materials expo. FAIRBUILD connects vendors, suppliers and original equipment manufacturers with real estate developers, architects and key decisionmakers. JLL is the Knowledge Partner for STATECON 2026.
The event will bring together CREDAI members from chapters across Tamil Nadu, along with policymakers and leaders from real estate, finance, technology, construction and allied sectors. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and Ministers of the State Government are expected to attend.
A State growing beyond its big cities
“Tamil Nadu has tremendous potential, and that potential is now spreading well beyond Chennai. Cities such as Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Hosur, Salem and Thoothukudi are all growing at the same time, and our industry must grow with them,” said Mr. W S Habib, President, CREDAI Tamil Nadu.
“CREDAI Tamil Nadu is present in 10 cities today. At STATECON, we will welcome five new chapters, taking our presence to 15 cities. This brings organised, responsible development closer to where people are building their lives.”
“To unlock the State’s full potential, we will keep working closely with the Government. Our priorities are progressive policies, greater ease of doing business, faster and more transparent approvals, digitisation and sustained investment in urban infrastructure. When policy moves ahead of demand, investment follows with confidence,” he added.
STATECON 2026: The conversations that will shape the next decade
STATECON 2026 will feature focused discussions on the issues that matter most to the sector today. Sessions will examine the growth drivers of Tamil Nadu’s real estate market, the changing expectations of the new homebuyer and access to capital. They will also cover policy and ease of doing business, the impact of AI and PropTech, and the growing role of robotics and emerging construction technologies in how projects are planned and built.
“We have designed STATECON around subjects that have a direct bearing on the future of real estate in Tamil Nadu,” said Mr. Srikumar Swaminathan, Secretary, CREDAI Tamil Nadu. “The way people buy homes, the way projects are financed and the way buildings are built are all changing quickly. STATECON gives developers, policymakers, financiers and technology partners the chance to sit in the same room and talk openly about these changes. We want every delegate to leave with clarity and fresh ideas they can apply to their own projects.”
FAIRBUILD 2026: Bringing the ecosystem under one roof
Running alongside STATECON, FAIRBUILD 2026 will showcase construction materials, technologies, products and solutions from manufacturers, vendors, technology companies and service providers serving the industry.
“A real estate project today is the result of an entire ecosystem working together,” said Mr. S Sivagurunathan, Advisor, CREDAI FAIRBUILD. “Developers are at one end of that ecosystem. Behind every project is a large network of manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers and service partners. FAIRBUILD brings all of them together under one roof. We are not positioning it as a display exhibition. It is a serious business platform where developers can discover new products, evaluate solutions and build relationships that turn into real procurement.”
Purchase teams on the exhibition floor
This year, CREDAI Tamil Nadu is introducing a coordinated initiative to bring members’ purchase teams to the exhibition. Dedicated stay arrangements will help them take part fully and hold meaningful interactions with suppliers.
“We wanted FAIRBUILD to deliver real value to every exhibitor, and that means putting suppliers in front of the people who actually make buying decisions,” said Mr. Gugan Ilango, Convener, STATECON & FAIRBUILD 2026. “So, we are bringing the purchase teams of our member developers from across the State to Chennai and taking care of their stay so they can spend both days on the floor. For a supplier, that means meeting decision-makers from across the State in one place. For our members, it means comparing products, negotiating directly and sourcing better for their upcoming projects. With STATECON and FAIRBUILD running side by side, the ideas discussed in the conference hall can turn into business on the exhibition floor.”
Through STATECON and FAIRBUILD, CREDAI Tamil Nadu aims to build a common platform for developers, policymakers, financiers, technology companies, manufacturers, vendors and other stakeholders. Together they will engage on the opportunities and challenges that will define the next phase of growth for Tamil Nadu’s real estate sector.
