The The Dementia Care Foundation (TDCF) has opened a new Daycare and Experiential Centre in Pallikaranai. This centre aims to provide better support and care for people living with Dementia.

The facility was started in partnership with Asan Memorial College of Arts & Science. The goal is to combine medical care with community support, helping patients not just clinically but also socially and emotionally.

The opening event was called “Meet De(Me)ntia for Coffee.” It brought together doctors, caregivers, and teachers. The event focused on helping people understand dementia in a more practical and interactive way.

During the programme, participants took part in activities that help improve thinking skills and encourage communication. These activities also helped people connect emotionally and understand the challenges faced by those with dementia.

The event ended with a formal ceremony. Overall, the new centre is expected to provide much-needed support to patients and their families, while also spreading awareness about dementia in the community.
